Prunus persica ‘Cresthaven’ – Yellow Peach – 7-Gallon

An excellent all-purpose peach. The yellow-fleshed, freestone fruits are juicy and firm with very good flavor. They ripen mid- to late-season, are medium to large in size, nearly round, golden in color overlaid with an abundance of bright red. Excellent for freezing and canning. Vigorous, medium to large, productive tree. Tends to overset and may require thinning to maintain fruit size. Hardy in Zones 5-8 with above average bud hardiness. Introduced by the Michigan Agricultural Experiment Station at Southhaven in 1963, and still a widely planted variety more than a half century later.
