Rhododendron ‘Orchid Lights’ – Deciduous Azalea – 3-Gallon

A University of Minnesota production – another in their ‘Northern Lights’ series of floriferous and bone-chillingly cold hardy azaleas all of which have at least one native species of azalea in their parentage. This one is a hybrid between our native Rhodora (Rhododendron canadense) and a non-native azalea hybrid (R. ×kosterianum). Like Rhodora, Orchid Lights is one of the earliest azaleas to bloom. Flower buds can with-stand -45°F in mid-winter without injury.
