Spiraea tomentosa – Steeplebush – 2-Gallon

$34.00

A shrub for naturalizing in a meadow or for use in a shrub border; perhaps even mixed with perennials in a flower border. Because it blooms on new wood it can be pruned severely each year to keep it in bounds and a well-behaved companion for less vigorous perennials. The pink flower clusters appear when little else is in bloom. They are wide at their base, narrowing to a point like a church steeple – this form gives the plant its name. The flower clusters are attractive to a wide variety of bees and attract a few butterflies as well.
