Amelanchier ×grandiflora ‘Autumn Brilliance’ – Juneberry (Multi-stem/Shrub form)

A hybrid of Downy Juneberry, A. arborea, and Allegheny Junberry, A. laevis, two common species in the Catskills and Shawangunks. A fast grower with disease-resistant foliage that turns shades of red in fall, though fall color can vary from year to year. Like all Juneberries the informal sprays of white flowers are very ornamental and the purple-black fruits are edible and a favorite of a wide variety of birds.
