Actinidia kolomikta – Arctic Kiwi

For many years this species of Asian Kiwi Vine was grown only as an ornamental, primarily because of the bright pink and white coloration that develops on the leaves of mature plants, primarily males, but occasionally on females as well. The tasty fruits are smaller than those of Hardy Kiwi but the vines are less vigorous and do not need as super-strong a support on which to grow. Female varieties we offer include ‘September Sun’ and ‘Red Beauty’. Use ‘Arctic Beauty’ as a pollenizer. Hardy throughout the Catskills.
