Amelanchier laevis – Allegheny Juneberry (Multi-stem/Shrub form)

An ornamental small tree with silvery gray bark, delicate white flowers and purplish to bronze new foliage. Produces abundant, purple-black, very sweet fruit that is excellent for jams, jellies and attracting wildlife. Fall color ranges from yellow to blotchy orange and red. Allegheny juneberry is a host plant for Spring Azure, Viceroy, White Admiral/Red Spotted Purple and Striped Hairstreak butterflies. Use at the edge of a woodland, as an understory tree, or as a specimen near your house.
