Amsonia tabernaemontana ‘Storm Cloud’ – Eastern Bluestar – 2-Gallon

$19.00

A very showy form of this long-lived, deer-resistant perennial discovered by Hans Hansen and Tony Avent while botanizing along a woodland stream in a remote Bibb County, Alabama forest. It emerges with dark, almost black stems and a purplish cast to the foliage. The dark stems contrast beautifully with  the forget-me-not blue flowers that are an important nectar source for early spring butterflies. Foliage turns a golden color in fall – it’s one of the few perennials that has attractive fall foliage.
