Calycanthus floridus ‘Michael Lindsey’ – Sweetshrub or Carolina Allspice – 3-Gallon

Sweetshrub has showy, maroonish-red flowers with an incredible fragrance that is hard to characterize, but definitely fruity and stronger in the afternoon. When grown from seed, individual plants can vary greatly in fragrance with some having little fragrance at all. ‘Michael Lindsey’ has been selected for its consistently strong and attractive fragrance. Although the peak of bloom is late spring, flowers appear sporadically until fall.
