Chrysogonum virginianum ‘Pierre’ – Green and Gold – 5-Pint

$12.00

One of the top native ground covers for a variety of conditions. It prefers afternoon shade and moist soil – it will pout in full sun and dry soil, and won’t flower  so well in full dense shade. The charming flowers peak in appearance in Spring, then tail off as Summer approaches. Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina are the primary redoubts of Green and Gold, but it performs superbly throughout our area. There are a number of cultivars, including ‘Pierre,’ ‘Allen Bush’ and ‘Superstar’ (Norman Singer’s form) but they are quite similar in garden effect. Deer resistant. Attracts bees and butterflies.
