Cornus sericea ‘Cardinal’ – Red-osier Dogwood – 3-Gallon

$44.00

A suckering shrub with red twigs that brighten the winter landscape – mass plantings put on the best display. The white fruits that arise from creamy-white flowers are a valued food for birds. New stems have the most intense coloration – remove one third of the oldest canes each year, or cut completely to the ground in late winter. ‘Cardinal’ is a form with winter stems the color of that well-known winter bird, the cardinal.
