Hydrangea quercifolia ‘Ruby Slippers’ – Oakleaf Hydrangea

$11.00$44.00

A sibling from the same ‘Snow Queen’ and ‘Pee Wee’ cross that produced ‘Queen of Hearts.’ It’s a considerably more compact plant though, indeed it’s just a little bigger than ‘Pee Wee’. Flowers emerge white, but quickly turn pink before finally maturing to ruby red. Robust blooms remain upright even after heavy rains. Dark green, deeply lobed oak-like foliage turns brilliant mahogany in  Fall. The compact form works in smaller landscapes and is useful for mass planting, hedges or borders.
