Rhododendron ‘Ribbon Candy’ – Deciduous Azalea – 2-Gallon

$34.00

A unique-looking variety from the Weston Nurseries breeding program for cold-hardy, fragrant, summer-blooming azaleas. It has pink flowers with distinctive white stripes and a sharp spicy-peppery fragrance. Blooms in late June. Dark green leaves have a slight curl and are only slightly susceptible to mildew. Foliage changes to burgundy, red and orange in autumn. ‘Ribbon Candy’ was selected in  1963 from a cross involving two native azaleas, Cumberland Azalea and Sweet Azalea, and a red Mollis Azalea (A. molle ssp. japonicum) from Japan.
