Ribes ‘Jeanne’ – Gooseberry – 1-Gallon

$11.00

A late-ripening, dark red, dessert gooseberry with an unknown European pedigree. Observed for 24 years at the USDA National Germplasm Repository at Corvallis, Oregon, its origin prior to Corvallis is undocumented. It flowers and its fruit ripen about a week after most varieties, extending the gooseberry season. The fruit are large for a red gooseberry with excellent sweetness to balance the typical gooseberry tartness. ‘Jeanne’ is highly productive and disease-resistant making it a great choice for organic growers. Grows to about 5’H x 5’W.
