Rosa carolina – Carolina Rose – 2-Gallon

$20.00

Our native roses have single 2 – 2 1/2 inch rich pink flowers that are extremely attractive to honey bees and native bees. The rose hips that follow are a valuable winter food for birds. Unlike modern hybrids, the foliage is blemish-free – no black spot problems here. Pasture Rose is a strongly suckering small shrub that forms a dense thicket over time and is best used in natural situations – it can be a bit too aggressive for mixed borders or small garden beds. Some variation in flower color can occur – we even occasionally offer a white-flowered form.
