Thalictrum dioicum – Early Meadow-Rue

$9.00$12.00

As you can guess from the name, this plant flowers early in spring in contrast to King-of-the-Meadow or Tall Meadow-rue which flowers in summer. The species is dioecious – male plants have the showier flowers with pale purple sepals and yellowish-orange anthers that hang down like the tasseled lampshades popular a hundred years ago. Native to the Catskills and an interesting plant for the woodland garden.
