Athyrium filix-femina ssp. angustum ‘Lady in Red’ – Lady Fern

$6.00$19.00

A showy form of a classic garden fern. ‘Lady in Red’ was discovered in Vermont and popularized by the New England Wildflower Society. The frond stipes are ruby to garnet red in color and contrast nicely with the lime-green pinnae. Lady Fern is a tough, adaptable plant – ideal for the woodland garden where it will form nice-sized clumps over time but will not overwhelm delicate woodland wildflowers. It’s robust enough that it can also be used to fill space amongst woodland shrubs.
