Description
Willow family (Salicaceae)
This willow has a widespread distribution in North America from Maine to North Dakota south to Mississippi and Florida. It occurs throughout most of New York State including Ulster County where it occurs in classic willow habitat: swamps, wet thickets, wet successional fields, roadsides, ditches, marshes, and edges of lakes and streams.
